Atkins to Rt 52

1st half - better than expected, cool weather, perfect for hiking, no rain!

2nd half - worse than expected, all the rain!

Tough weather day. I bargained a lot with myself to keep going and wanted to stop short many times. Then when I was ready to stop for the day for real, it was either dumping rain or there was nowhere to tent, so on I walked! Then I ended up exceeding my goal without meaning to. This section brought back lots of nice memories of my parents visiting me during my AT FKT. It’s amazing how much of the trail I remember!
